Niccolò Paganini’s “Variations on One String on a Theme by Rossini” (often titled Moses Fantasy or Introduction & Variations on ‘Dal tuo stellato soglio’) is a virtuoso piece composed around 1818-1819, based on the aria from Rossini’s opera Mosè in Egitto. Originally for violin, it requires playing on the G string only.
